Styled Shoot

We have been so excited to launch our business and with the help of some new friends, our first styled shoot was everything we could have dreamed it would be. We are so thankful to everyone who worked with us and believed in our vision!

It was an early, rainy, Sunday morning as we unpacked our details into the entrance of Mary Ann’s Tea Room ready to hit the ground running. Mary Ann’s Tea Room is a hidden gem in the Central West End. It is definitely a place worth visiting -- its bright colors and greenhouse ceilings make it a very airy and bright space. The giant hanging ferns and beautiful artwork are a gorgeous backdrop for any event. Our mood board, which started as a quirky and bright shoot, turned into something elegant and regal. Mary Ann’s Tea room is the perfect mix of all of that and the dream spot for what we had in mind.

Angela Spencer, our talented makeup artist, got straight to work amplifying Darian’s beauty. While she was creating her look, Molly and I were busy transforming the space. Each step of the way, our vision was coming together little by little. The unique linens, the breathtaking place settings -- every detail played a valuable part into making this shoot something that was definitely out of the ordinary.

The place settings were made possible by a tea loving and vintage appreciating dreamer named Tammy. The mixed matched china sets took our breath away. Nadine and Mina made our vision board into a reality with her collection of the most beautiful glasses, plates, tea wear and flatware imaginable. Every piece she pulled out was better than the last.

Zerin, from With Love By Z, designed captivating menus, place cards, and labels for the desserts. We used items from the actual menu at Mary Ann’s Tea Room, just to make the shoot that much more authentic.

The cake. The desserts. Sarah’s Cakes blew it out of the water on this. Molly and I were stunned when they got delivered. The detail and time that went into creating these masterpieces speak for themselves. The cake was too pretty to even dream of cutting and the desserts were the perfect addition to our tea party fantasy.

The dress and flowers were stunners as well. Town and Country Bridal had an amazing selection, but the one we went with could not have been more perfect. The lace details on the dress, combined with the unique hair clip was the perfect look for the shoot. Petaled Pail created the most beautiful and unique arrangements. I mean, have you seen that umbrella? AMAZING! We could not have asked for a better team for this shoot.

When we were sent the final images, after Trevor and Alex added their creative touch, we were absolutely blown away. The amount of talent and professionalism the two of them brought to the shoot exceeded any expectations we could have set. The images were perfect and they kept everyone smiling and laughing the entire time.

One million thank yous wouldn't be enough. Molly and I want to express our gratitude to everyone involved with this shoot as these images and the vision overall would not be what it is without each and every person that helped that day.
